WWE to Record Two Weeks of Smackdown Friday

WWE will record two weeks of Smackdown this Friday, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, as they will not be able to hold a live edition of Smackdown on Friday, May 26th.

WWE’s Night of Champions premium live event will be in Saudia Arabia on Saturday, May 27th, and most WWE talent, crew, and staff will be traveling in the days leading up to the event and wouldn’t be available to perform on Friday the 26th.

Vince McMahon’s Involvement Critical to WWE/Endeavor Merger

A new SEC filing this week revealed just how important Vince McMahon’s involvement was in the recently announced merger of WWE and Endeavor.

The filing included documents that showed during negotiations, Endeavor submitted a term sheet that included McMahon serving as executive chairman until he's unable to or retires, providing McMahon with five out of eleven board seats in addition to veto rights, and giving WWE's shareholders a greater percentage of the voting power in the new company for the assurance that McMahon would serve as executive chairman of the new company.

Liv Morgan Injured, Out of Action Indefinitely

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Liv Morgan is currently out-of-action with an undisclosed injury, according to Fightful.com, who said Morgan was injured during Smackdown.

Adam Pearce announced on RAW last night that Morgan was injured, and unable to defend her tag team titles as scheduled.

Morgan was also removed from an official meet and greet event Monday morning and replaced with Dolph Ziggler.

There has been no official report at this time of the severity of the injury, or the length of recovery.

WWE Trip to Puerto Rico a Financial Success

WWE’s recent trip to Puerto Rico was a financial success, according to a new WWE press release.

According to the press release both "SmackDown" and “Backlash” generated $1 million gates for the company, with "SmackDown" drawing just over 1 million dollars on over 14,000 tickets sold, and Backlash drawing just shy of 1.5 million dollars on over 15,000 tickets sold.
