Controversial CM Punk ESPN Interview Finally Published

ESPN published an article last week about CM Punk, following a recent interview they had with the controversial wrestler.

Punk, who made his first return to AEW programming since last September when he went on a tirade filled press conference appearance before being involved in a backstage fight with members of the Elite, touched on many subjects about his involvement in that incident, his career, and current plans in pro wrestling.

A few highlights of the Punk interview include:

  • Punk saying that he never intended to quit wrestling after the All Out post-show incident

  • That Adam Page chipped Punk’s tooth during their All Out match

  • That he did apologize to Tony Khan for putting him in a difficult position after the All Out post-show incident

  • That he first took issue with Adam Page for referencing what Punk says is a false belief that he had Colt Cabana fired from AEW

  • That he is willing to, and has tried to, have a sit down and discuss the incident with all the parties involved in the All Out post-show brawl, but that all his attempts are met with statements from lawyers saying to not contact this person.
