CM Punk ESPN Interview Causing Resentment in AEW
A recent ESPN interview with CM Punk is expected to be released sometime today, according to Fightful.
The interview which was recorded before the announcement of CM Punk’s return to AEW tomorrow night, while monitored by AEW officials, is reportedly inflammatory in ways towards some AEW talent, most specifically Hangman Adam Page and The Elite.
Various reports claim the comments made by Punk are not making the transition to his return to AEW any easier on the company from a talent relations perspective, and that AEW is having to perform damage control measures in response.

Carlito WWE Return Rumors Increasing
Rumors of Carlito making a full-time return to WWE have been increasing ever since the Superstar made a surprise appearance at WWE’s Backlash premium live event in Puerto Rico this year.
Carlito, who last worked full-time for WWE in 2010, recently cancelled an independent booking for July 15th, according to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio.
Meltzer says Carlito told the promoter that he had to cancel because he is going back to WWE.
Neither Carlito nor WWE have made any official statements on the matter.

Deonna Purrazzo Crosses 500 Cumulative Days as Impact Knockouts Champion
Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo took to Twitter this week to announce that she has now held the Knockouts title a collective 500 days between her three title reigns.
Purrazzo first held the Impact Wrestling Knockouts title for 98 days in 2020, lost it for one month before winning it back and holding it for 343 consecutive days.
Her current reign started at Impact Wrestling’s Rebellion event when she defeated then champion Jordynne Grace.
Purrazzo is expected to defend her title against Trinity at Slammiversary on July 15th.

Judge Denies WWE Motion to Dismiss MLW Lawsuit
A U.S. District Court Judge denied every single motion in court filed by WWE in their attempt to dismiss a lawsuit filed by Court Bauer of Major League Wrestling.
The judge found that MLW properly defined its relevant market, provided circumstantial evidence that WWE had taken part in monopolistic actions and anti-competitive conduct, and "sufficiently alleged antitrust injury."
WWE also motioned to have the state law violations in MLW's suit dismissed, but according to the judge that motion was not properly argued by the defense and was also denied.
If not dismissed, the lawsuit may cost WWE millions of dollars, as MLW has reportedly "imposed broad discovery" in the case, meaning an extensive amount of evidence would need to be collected at potentially great expense.
