Dibiase Trial Delayed
The trial of Ted Dibiase Jr on Federal fraud crimes has been delayed, as the judge approved a motion to delay filed by the government, who asked for more time to collect evidence.
Dibiase faces one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, six counts of wire fraud, two counts of theft concerning programs receiving federal funds, and four counts of money laundering, in an alleged misappropriation of nearly 77 million dollars from the Mississippi Emergency Food Assistance Program and the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families programs.
The State of Mississippi claims Dibiase used some of that money to purchase a home, as well as an undisclosed vehicle and a boat.
Dibiase’s brother Brett plead guilty in U.S. District Court earlier this year to one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States as well as two other counts in relation to this case.
