WWE Granted Extension to MLW Lawsuit

MLW’s lawsuit against WWE is delayed yet again, as WWE filed and was granted a request for an extension last week.

WWE requested the extension because they say they just hired new legal representation and needed time to further investigate the claims made in the lawsuit.

WWE previously filed a motion to dismiss this case. That motion was denied last month.

MLW agreed to the timeline requested by WWE, who will now have until August 14th to provide their official response to the allegations.

Family of Darren Drozdov Establishes Scholarship

The family of the late Darren Drozdov will be establishing the Darren Drozdov Oakcrest High School Athletic Scholarship fund, following Drozdov’s passing last week.

Adam Schefter of ESPN announced the athletic scholarship fund on Twitter, and said the family is asking that donations be made to the fund in lieu of flowers or other gifts.

Prior to his wrestling career, Drozdov had an accomplished athletic career at Oakcrest High School, leading the football team to an undefeated record in his senior year while being named an All-State quarterback.

In addition to football, Drozdov also competed in track and field in high school, where he was a record-setting shot putter.

Stadium Stampede Confirmed for AEW Fight Forever

AEW’s recently released video game FIGHT FOREVER will be seeing many changes soon, according to Executive Vice President and former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega, who spoke about game updates to Uproxx.com recently.

Omega confirmed the leaked Stadium Stampede mode, as well as many other modifications fans can expect, saying “You haven’t seen anything yet. You’ve seen a little bit, but you haven’t seen a lot of things that I’m very excited for”.

Omega confirmed that fans can expect additions to the game roster, create a wrestler parts, and match types.

Tyler Breeze Still Collecting WWE Checks

Former WWE and NXT Superstar Tyler Breeze is still getting a regular paycheck from WWE, despite being released by the company two years ago, according to a recent report from Fightful Select.

Fightful says they learned recently that Breeze, while owning and operating a wrestling school he co-owns with AEW star Shawn Spears, is still receiving contractually obligated payments for his regular appearances on WWE’s YouTube show UpUpDownDown.

Fightful says they do not have information on Breeze’s in-ring obligations for WWE but noted that the contract does specifically deny Breeze the ability to appear on AEW programming.

While the Fightful report does not have information about Breeze’s in-ring appearances for WWE, it is reported that Breeze is booked to make his in-ring return at Prestige Wrestling in Portland, Oregon in September.
