COVID-19 Forces SmackDown Re-Writes
COVID-19 forced WWE officials to make several changes to the SmackDown card last Friday, according to a report from PWInsider.
Several talents were reportedly pulled from the show due to either testing positive for COVID-19 or being in close contact with someone who tested positive.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reported that the Charlotte Flair vs Io Sky match was a last-minute replacement for segments that were originally scheduled.
WWE has made no official announcement regarding the matter.

Dominik Mysterio Makes WWE History
Dominik Mysterio made WWE history this week.
After successfully defending his NXT North American Championship against Butch on Smackdown on Friday, Dominik Mysterio became the only WWE Superstar to main event RAW, NXT, and SmackDown in the same week.
Mysterio defeated Wes Lee for the North American Championship on NXT and competed in a tag team match with Damien Priest against Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens on RAW.
Dominik Mysterio commented on the accomplishment on Instagram saying, “Dirty Dom = main event”.

Orange Cassidy Working as AEW Producer
AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy is working in an additional backstage capacity lately, according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com
Cassidy reportedly worked as a Producer for two recent matches of The Infantry vs The Kingdom and Big Bill & Brian Cage vs Matt Sydal & Trent.
AEW’s Producers typically stay on a headset during the matches to make sure timing is right and coordinate the matches with the talent ahead of the performance so they can relay information to the production team to capture the biggest moments live.

Peacemaker Coming to Mortal Kombat 1
John Cena’s Peacemaker character will soon be available as a playable character on the Mortal Kombat 1 video game.
Peacemaker will be part of a downloadable pack called “Kombat Pack” featuring multiple superhero characters such as Homelander and Omni-Man, according to an announcement made at San Diego Comic-Con.
Cena first portrayed Peacemaker in the 2021 film ‘The Suicide Squad’, and now portrays the character in a spinoff series dedicated to Peacemaker on HBO Max.
