New Japan to Air G1 Climax Opening Nights for Free
The first two nights of New Japan Pro Wrestling’s annual G1 Climax tournament will be broadcast completely free this weekend.
The company announced on Twitter yesterday that nights one and two of the tournament will live stream for free on the company’s over-the-top streaming service NJPW World, with users not even required to make an account in order to watch the two shows.
The round-robin style tournament begins this Saturday and will continue through August 13.

Freddie Prinze, Jr. Books Main Event for New Wrestling Promotion
Former WWE writer Freddie Prinze, Jr announced the main event for a new wrestling promotion that will be featured on Premier Streaming, a streaming network co-owned by Prinze.
Prinze appeared on Busted Open Radio this week and said Matt Cardona will battle Colt Cabana on September 9th in New Jersy for the new promotion’s men’s championship.
Also on the card, Rachel Ellering will take on Steph De Lander for the women’s championship.
Prinze is also currently working on a new feature film about the world of independent professional wrestling.

Bull Nakano Involved in New U.S. Wrestling Promotion
Former All Japan and WWE star Bull Nakano is heavily involved in a new pro wrestling promotion in the United States that reportedly will solely feature Japanese women’s wrestling, according to PWInsider this week.
Nakano, who retired in 1996 will not wrestle for the new promotion that aims to launch in September in New York City but is heavily involved behind the scenes and is expected to have an on-screen role in the promotion, outside of in-ring competition.

The Miz Secures First Victory of 2023
WWE Superstar The Miz won a televised wrestling match on Monday Night Raw, for the first time this year.
Miz wrestled Tomasso Ciampa in a No-Disqualification Match and was declared the victor after surprise assistance from Bronson Reed.
Until this victory The Miz had been involved in 31 straight televised losses, and one draw, not having his hand raised in victory in more than 200 days.
