Lawsuit Against Pat McAfee Moved to Federal Court
A lawsuit against Pat McAfee, filed by NFL Hall of Fame Quarterback Brett Favre, has been moved from the State of Mississippi to Federal Court this week.
Favre, who is involved in the same welfare money scandal that the Ted DiBiase family is charged with, allegedly used COVID relief welfare funds to facilitate the building of a volleyball facility at the University of Southern Mississippi, where Favre’s daughter attends school.
Favre filed a lawsuit against McAfee for defamation, claiming McAfee spread false information about him and the case on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’.
Since Favre is a resident of the State of Mississippi, and McAfee is not, McAfee was granted his request to move the trial to Federal court, to remove potential bias towards Favre.
The move to Federal court means this trial currently has no scheduled date.
