WWE to Make Aggressive Cost Cuts After Endeavor Merger

WWE CEO Nick Khan expects at least 50 million dollars in cost cuts in the next few months following the WWE/Endeavor merger.

During a recent interview with Lightshed Live Khan said WWE will be aggressive in their cost cutting measures, similar to the approach used by Endeavor when they acquired UFC in 2016.

Khan stated that WWE is not intending to make cutbacks in on-screen talent, or other production staff, but will instead focus on other areas of the company.

Dax Harwood Reveals Why FTR Chose AEW Over WWE

Dax Harwood, during an episode of the ‘FTR With Dax’ podcast, said that he and Cash Wheeler decided to sign their new contract with AEW instead of WWE, because they feel they can trust Tony Khan with their career and legacy more than they could with WWE.

Khan also said he believes that Tony Khan sees more marketability in FTR and understands them more than Vince McMahon or Triple H do.

Harwood also said FTR want to help make AEW successful for years to come so that wrestlers can have another viable option to make a living.

Big E Has No Timetable for In-Ring Return

Big E discussed his neck injury recovery on a recent episode of ‘Battleground Podcast but was unable to offer any expected timeframe for which he will be back in action.

Big E said he broke his C1 vertebrae in two places, and it is a complicated fracture that will take more time to heal than most neck injuries.

Big E said he just completed new scans of his neck and will soon meet with doctors to discuss them, but stressed that he feels great, with no limitations in movement.

Justin Roberts Misses AEW Dynamite Due to COVID

AEW Ring Announcer Justin Roberts announced Tuesday that he would miss AEW Dynamite this week, after testing positive for COVID.

Though COVID protocols and emergency declarations are mostly lifted in the United States, the CDC still reports over 100,000 new COVID cases and over 1300 COVID deaths last week alone.
